Fun fact for the weekend: one of our home servers has hit it's 500 day uptime birthday.

Read on for the fun details...

One of our file servers running Slackware 12.0 with the 2.6.22.1 kernel hit 500 day uptime this weekend.


server@server:~$ uptime
 22:20:08 up 502 days, 18:17,  1 user,  load average: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00

Not bad considering it's on our home LAN and at the mercy of the local power company...

And we begin the countdown to 600!
